The band play for 3 hours which includes a 20 minute break while your guests are served tea/coffee and finger food. We will liase with the DJ (whether booked through us or you) to ensure a seamless transition.
Our approach to any performance where dancing is involved, is to provide continuous sets of music for about 20-30 minutes to ensure everyone stays on the floor. As the set builds you will find that while some guests may wish to sit for a few moments they will be quickly replaced by others who are just getting started. A short slow set will then follow to let everyone catch their breath!
Couples are usually curious as to how the timeline works at a wedding reception. As an example, under normal circumstances where music stops at 2am (most hotels request that music finishes at this time), the band would play from 9pm – Midnight (3 hours) and the DJ then playing until 2am (2 hours).
At this point, you may not be sure of the exact times of your wedding so we will finalise this with you closer to the time.
